活動緣起｜Event Background
氣候變遷與極端環境事件頻繁出現，科技與工程雖是應對的核心工具，但若缺乏文化與系統的整合，往往難以永續落地。 蔣本基教授長年致力於環境工程、碳循環與永續評估研究，他不僅深入技術領域，也積極將研究與政策、校園治理結合， 致力於透過「大學」這個系統場域，將科技變為一種文化、一種價值觀、一種行動模式。
With the increasing frequency of climate change and extreme environmental events, technology and engineering have become essential tools in addressing global challenges. However, without integration with culture and systemic perspectives, sustainability efforts are often difficult to sustain in practice. Professor Ben-Chi Chiang from National Taiwan University has long been devoted to research in environmental engineering, carbon cycling, and sustainability assessment. Beyond technical expertise, he actively integrates research with policy and campus governance, striving to use the university as a systemic platform where technology becomes a form of culture, a shared value, and a way of action.
