Leading Technological Culture Toward a Sustainable Future:The Way of the University
🔸 Event Background:With the increasing frequency of climate change and extreme environmental events, technology and engineering have become essential tools in addressing global challenges. However, without integration with culture and systemic perspectives, sustainability efforts are often difficult to sustain in practice. Professor Ben-Chi Chiang from National Taiwan University has long been devoted to research in environmental engineering, carbon cycling, and sustainability assessment. Beyond technical expertise, he actively integrates research with policy and campus governance, striving to use the university as a systemic platform where technology becomes a form of culture, a shared value, and a way of action.
🔸 Speaker:Professor Emeritus Ben-Chi Chiang, Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering, National Taiwan University
🔸 Expertise:Physicochemical treatment methods, air pollution control design, unit operations in environmental engineering, clean production
🔸 Organizer:Faculty Professional Community for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development (Fall Semester 2025)
